Heroin arrest in Oak Hill, WV

Officers with the Oak Hill Police Department made an arrest in a heroin investigation on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016.  Gregory Anthony Waters, 48, of Oak Hill, WV is charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Oak Hill Police, along with the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force, West Virginia State Police and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department searched Waters’ home on Scarbro Road.  They found what is being called “a large amount” of heroin.  There was also around $4,000 in cash.

“This arrest is the direct result of concerned citizens calling in and making complaints of suspicious activity going on at this residence,” said Oak Hill Police Chief, Mike Whisman. “We continue to urge the public to report such suspicious activity.”

Waters is being held in the Southern Regional Jail.  He is being held without bond until a hearing can be held.
