Take a look at this surveillance video captured Saturday morning at Spanishburg Elementary. Deputies in Mercer County need your help to find these two thieves who stole hundreds of dollars worth of iPads and computers Saturday from the school. According to officials, these two were drinking on the playground before they got inside.
“It breaks your heart to hear something to think that we live in a community that people would come in and steal from you,” Gail Williams said.
Jennifer and Gail Williams are both alumni of Spanishburg elementary. They never thought people would stoop so low.
“We’re all like family down through here, it’s just something you wouldn’t expect,” Jennifer Williams said.
Technology is now prominent in the classroom – the use of iPads and computers is more common than ever. And with the start of school approaching, the Williams hope justice is swift.
“I know some of the kids you know who we go to church with who talked about when they got the iPads, that was exciting to them, that was something they really looked forward to and this is sad,” Gail Williams said.
If anyone has any information on the robbery, please contact the Mercer County sheriffs department.
