Jim Justice keeps promise to pay taxes

A release from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, April 29, 2016 announced that taxes due from the Jim Justice Corporation have been paid.  Earlier in April, Justice announced that he would pay the back taxes he owed by the end of the month.

According to McDowell County Sheriff Martin West, the taxes due in his county was more than $900,000. He went on to say that the debt was paid before the tax deadline.  The taxes will be used to make up the budgets for the Board of Education and the County Commission.
