2:15 p.m. Aug. 5, 2015 UPDATE:

The scene of a fire that shut down I-64 in Greenbrier County has long been cleared, but images of the fire have just been released.  Pictures of the vehicle come from the owners, Austin and Destiny Crane. 


8:30 a.m. Aug. 4, 2015 UPDATE:

Emergency responders have cleared the scene of a vehicle fire that happened at around 6:48 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4 2015.  All westbound lanes of I-64 were reopened at around 8 a.m.  


ORIGINAL STORY: A vehicle fire shut down a both westbound lanes of I-64 in Greenbrier County Tuesday, August 4, 2015. The vehicle was in an accident on mile marker 158 near Clintonville before it caught fire, emergency officials said. Only one vehicle was involved. 

The Clintonville and Smoot Fire Departments responded to the scene. Quinwood Ambulance and State Police were also present.  No injuries have been reported at this time.
