Man runs from scene of accident in Bramwell


Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for a person who was involved in an accident on Route 52 near Bramwell.  It happened at around 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.  There was a collision between a white Chevy Trailblazer and a black Geo Metro.  The driver of the Trailblazer, Tammy Marie Carper, had be be cut from the vehicle.  She was taken to Bluefield Regional Medical Center.  There is no word on her condition.

The driver of the Geo apparently got out of the car and rand into the woods.  Witnesses said he had a bloody nose.  He is described as a white man wearing Blue Jeans and a Red Jacket.  Deputies are searching for the suspect with a police dog.  Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office at 304-487-8301.
