New Princeton Police Substation Expected To Open At The End of This Month

A new substation for the Princeton Police Department is set to open at the end of October of 2016.  It’s going to be located at 829 Mercer Street.  City Manager Kenneth Clay said it will house 1 or 2 patrolmen at a time.  Clay said the goal of the new substation is to give assurance to businesses that the city is committed to that area and it’s revitalization.

Clay said, “I hope we’ll encourage businesses that are already in place to stay there and that it will give us you know another option in policing the area.”

Remodeling work and repairs are being done inside the building.
