Eric Campbell was facing charges in West Virginia of Malicious Wounding, Assault and Attempted Murder of a Police Officer.  Those charges were dismissed in Greenbrier County Magistrate Court on Friday morning.  That hearing was followed by an extradition hearing to send Campbell back to North Carolina where he will face multiple charges including two counts of murder for the deaths of Jerome Faulkner, 73, and his wife, Dora Faulkner, 62.

Eric Campbell’s father, Edward Campbell, was extradited at the end of January.  The sheriff in Granville County, NC has previously said he believes the Faulkners were random targets.
