A report of a sexual assault at a trailer park in Fayette County lead to the arrest of an Oak Hill man. On Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 deputies were called to the Rosedale Trailer Park. Delmas Royal King, 69, of Oak Hill was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse by a Parent, Guardian or Custodian , First Degree Sexual Abuse and Use of Obscene Matter with the Intent to Seduce a Minor.
Investigators said the victim in the case is a girl who is under the age of 12. After interviewing the victim at the Just For Kids, Inc. Child and Youth Advocacy Center in Oak Hill, deputies were able to get a search warrant for King’s home. The arrest was made as a result of the search and the investigation.
“Keeping our children safe is one of our top priorities. Anyone even contemplating sexually abusing a child should know this. You will be identified, you will be arrested, you will be prosecuted and you will be put somewhere that you cannot harm another child,” said Sheriff Steve Kessler and Prosecutor Larry Harrah in a joint statement.
King was arraigned and taken to the Southern Regional Jail. He is being held on a $150,000 bond. The incident is still under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and Just for Kids.
