One person has died in a house fire in Meadow Bluff, WV


UPDATE: Firefighters have confirmed one person has died in a house fire in Meadow Bluff.  The name of the victim has not been released.  There is no word on how the fire may have started, but the initial investigation indicates that the fire is not suspicious.

ORIGINAL: Five fire departments are on the scene of a house fire in the Meadow Bluff area. According to dispatchers, the call came in around 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015. The house is on Beetle Bug Boulevard, which is off of the James River and Kanawha Turnpike (Route 60/32). 

There is no word on any injuries at the time. Rainelle, Quinwood, Clintonville, Smoot and Rupert Fire Departments are all on scene, along with deputies from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department and troopers from the West Virginia State police.
