A new fundraiser for the Raleigh County Humane Society was held early Saturday morning in Beckley. The event included a 30 minute class on nutrition, followed by a beginner yoga class.
Money raised at the event helps the shelter finance vet bills, food and other services. If you missed the class but would still like to give back to the cause, you can stop by the shelter to drop off a donation or volunteer to help care for the animals.
“We always need dog walkers. We need people to help socialize the animals, play with the kittens and dogs. Anytime anyone wants to make a donation, we love that. Just come out to the shelter and always adopt and support us as much as you can,” said Raleigh County Humane Society Board Member, Nancy Johnson.
The Humane Society is hoping to host another fundraiser in the near future.
