Rep. Evan Jenkins announces fire department grants for Greenbrier County

U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that the Rainelle Fire Department has received a $628,572 Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The money will be used to purchase new vehicles, including a fire truck. Also White Sulphur Springs Emergency Medical Services has received a $53,467 Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The money will be used for advanced life support training equipment.Frankford Volunteer Fire Department has received a $50,429 Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The money will be used to purchase personal protective equipment for firefighters.

“Firefighters play a critically important role in every community, and up-to-date equipment is vital for firefighters to protect our homes and lives.” Rep. Jenkins said.
