Tuesday (8/15) was senior citizen day at the State Fair of West Virginia. To celebrate the day, the state fair allowed seniors to enter at a discounted price.
Instead of paying $11 for a ticket all people 55 years-old and older paid a discounted price of six dollars.
59 News had the chance to speak with seniors at the fair on Tuesday to see what they thought of the deal. “I love whenever I can get an extra deal,” one Pipestem Senior Resident, Franklin Butler said. “It’s great, always nice when they do something special for us,” another senior citizen added.
Everyday the fair has a special deal going on. Wednesday (8/16) the fair will be doing an early bird special. With this, anyone who arrives to the fair before noon only has to pay one dollar for their entry fee.
Then coming up on Thursday (8/17), it will be military day. As long as a military member has a valid military identification they will get to enter the fair at a discounted price of six dollars.
If you are heading out to the fair and would like to learn more about what deals will be going on, be sure to stop by the information booth to the left as you walk in.
