Another relief shelter is set to open tomorrow on the Eastern end of Greenbrier County.
Greenbrier East High School will have a feeding station, places to sleep, showers, and air conditioning. Officials say they needed a shelter on that end of the county, and the high school was a perfect choice for many reasons.
“During school session they have about 1600 in there on a daily basis. They have a big feeding area where they can feed. It’s close to the hospital and it’s not too far from town,” says Al Whitaker, director of Greenbrier County Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
The shelter will open its doors at 8 A-M tomorrow for anyone in need.
