Shots fired call leads to arrest

RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va. — Raleigh County Sheriffs deputies arrested a Stanaford man for wanton endangerment.

Deputies responded to a call of shots fired at Clay’s Tree and Roofing, Inc. on Stanaford Road shortly before 7:30 Wednesday night.

Deputies said Teddy Eugene Weis, Jr., 41, admitted to firing the gun.

They say that Weis thinks the man he was shooting at stole from him on a previous occasion.

Two juveniles working at the business were put in harm’s way because of Weis’ actions.

Deputies arrested Weis and charged him with two counts of wanton endangerment.

He is being held at the Southern Regional Jail.
