State Troopers plan DUI checkpoint in Mercer County


The State Police detachment in Princeton, WV will be on the look out for drunk and drugged drivers on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017.  Troopers are setting up a checkpoint on Oakvale Road in Mercer County.  They will be checking up on drivers from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

According to a release, the purpose of the checkpoint is to increase public awareness and to discourage people in West Virginia from driving a motor vehicle while their ability to do so has been impaired from the use of drugs or alcohol.
