The State Fair of West Virginia has no shortage of fun for the entire family. From the rides to the foods, people said there is always something going on.
Inside the Gus Douglas Building, one vendor was serving up a variety of sweets. It was at the Plain Jane County Cookin’ stand. This is a local family business based out of Clay County.
The family business makes different desserts like fudge, caramel popcorn, and an assortment of chocolates. The business said this is their first time at the State Fair of West Virginia, but they have seen a positive response so far. “Everyone also seems to enjoy that there’s no preservatives in our treats. We tell them that it’s the best caramel corn they’ve ever had and they agree,” said one business partner, Lena Adkins.
The stand will be inside the Gus Douglas Building on the fairgrounds until the end of the fair.
They encourage people to come out and at least try their treats.
