Residents in Tazewell County gathered in solidarity for a special prayer service for first responders and law enforcement.
The service was aimed at honoring and praying for men and women of service. During the event Pastors from local churches also took time to pray for the community and the nation.
“We want to pray for our community our nation and our law enforcement and even with that we forget our first responders sometimes to in times of emergencies those people are really needed we need them. We need to show them that we support them and you know this community that live here in Tazewell we support our law enforcement and this is something that we wanted to do to show our respect for them,” organizer Alex Wicks said.
During the event pastors also took time to recognize fallen soldiers and the men and woman who have lost their lives while serving.
