It’s a historic moment for a fictional television show this time from across the pond. The BBC show  “Doctor Who” has cast its first-ever female Doctor. Jodie Whittaker will succeed the current lead actor Peter Capaldi after this year’s Christmas episode. Whittaker says she hopes fans aren’t “scared” by her gender and that is a “really exciting time” for the show.
