Troopers search for wanted sex offender in Raleigh County

State Troopers are asking for help from the community to track down a registered sex offender.  James Wyatt is wanted for three counts of failing to register as a sex offender.  Those charges include two changes to his phone number and a change of employment.

Wyatt was convicted in November 2014 of first degree sex abuse against a 34-year-old woman.  His sentence requires him to update the West Virginia sex offender registry.

Anyone with information on Mr. Wyatt’s location is asked to contact the West Virginia State Police at 304-256-6700 or CrimeStoppers of West Virginia at 304-255-STOP (7867).  There are cash rewards for information that leads to an arrest.  Anonymous tips can also be left online at the CrimeStoppers web site or by using the P3 Tips App on a smart phone or a mobile device.
