Combined efforts of police departments in Fayette County led to the arrest of two people in a stolen car case. Deputies were told about the stolen car on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017. Then on Thursday, the owner called 911 to inform dispatchers they were following their stolen car in the Mount Hope area.
Mount Hope police responded to the call and chased the suspects into a dead end road where the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and ran off into the woods in different directions. Fayette County deputies and Oak Hill police were able to track them down using a K-9 team.
Brandon L. Clark, 21, of Mount Hope is charged with Fleeing in a Vehicle, Fleeing on Foot, Obstructing an Officer, Reckless Driving, No Operator’s License and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on $3,500 bond. Ember L. Rice, 24, also of Mount Hope was charged with Fleeing on Foot and Obstructing an Officer. She is also being held in the Southern Regional Jail. Her bond is set at $1,000.
