Two arrested on burglary charges in Fayette County

Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two people on felony offenses of burglary and grand larceny charges Monday, May 23.

According to a press release, Rebecca Elaine Webb, 35, of Oak Hill and Brian Allen Vanover of Oak Hill were arrested after deputies served a search warrant at two residences on Old Minden Road and Sumerlee Road.

The couple was arrested in connection to a robbery in the Glen Jean area on Sunday, May 22. Deputies allege someone had broken into the home and stole a metal lock box containing an undisclosed amount of cash, several collectible Zippo lighters, some old pocket knives and several old coins. The victim named two acquaintances as possible suspects in this case. 

Webb is charged with burglary and grand larceny. She also faces charges in Oak Hill Municipal Court on unrelated charges. 

Vanover is charged with burglary and grand larceny. He is also facing charges in the Oak Hill Municipal Court on unrelated charges.

Both suspects were transported to Fayette County Magistrate Court for arraignment.

Their bond status has not been determined.
