Two Greenbrier County men were arrested for allegedly breaking into a church. Lewisburg Police responded to the Catholic church on Coleman Drive in Lewisburg on Friday, July 28 for a breaking and entering complaint. Chavis Gabbert, 32, of Lewisburg and Justin McMillion, 27, of Frankford were charged with Breaking and Entering and Conspiracy To Commit a Felony.

Items stolen from the church included a tabernacle, chalice and a ciborium, as well as a case of wine. Officers said they were also were called to Coleman Drive the day before for another reported break-in, but the claims were unfounded. However, officers were able to identify suspects from some construction workers who were working at the residence.
