Two motorists killed by falling tree in W.Va.

TALLMANSVILLE, W.Va. (AP) – Police say two people have died after their vehicle was struck by a falling tree in Upshur County.

Media outlets report the accident occurred early Wednesday along a rural road.

The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old Timothy Cogar and 58-year-old Robert Wisner were killed. Both are from Webster Springs. Cogar was the driver of an SUV that was struck around 2 a.m.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
