In conjunction with the West Virginia Water Festival, the U.S. Army Corps Engineers hosted Safety on the Blue.
This is an event that works to promote water safety on the Bluestone Lake.
With the weather so warm, it’s the perfect time for people to head out on the lake to swim or fish, but engineers want to make sure people stay safe.
Sunday (8/6) they were offering safety tips along with giving away life jackets to ensure people’s safety out on the water.
If you missed out on the event but would like more information, you can call the Resource Manager’s office at 304-466-1234 or Public Affairs at 304-399-5353.
