UPDATE: Active shooter at Columbus high school in custody


COLUMBUS, OH (WBNS-10TV)  — Columbus police say SWAT officers have arrested a suspect in an active shooter situation at Columbus Scioto High School.

Police responded to the school on South High Street in south Columbus Friday morning around 8:30 a.m.

District spokesperson Scott Varner said the school was placed on lockdown as crews responded to the area. The school district said parents should not come to the building. If they want to pick up their kids early, there will be a specific location released soon.
