UPDATE: First responders rescue 1 person from body of water in Fayette County


UPDATE: One person was revived by first responders after nearly drowning while swimming in a body of water near Kingston Mine near Mossy, according to Captain Jim Sizemore. The person was taken to Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley with unknown injuries. No details have been released on the identity of the person.

Emergency crews responded to a reported drowning late Sunday, July 26, 2015, dispatchers told 59News. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and Jan-Care Ambulance were on scene near Kingston Mine near Mossy around 11:15 p.m. 

One person was taken to the hospital. It is unclear at this time the nature of any injuries that person sustained.
