UPDATE: One eastbound lane was reopened to traffic around 7:30 a.m, according to West Virginia 511. Officials are still urging drivers to use caution in the area.
An accident shut down both eastbound lanes of I-64 in Greenbrier County Wednesday, Sept. 16. A tractor trailer flipped over into the median just east of Alta, sending debris into the roadway, emergency officials said.
The roadway was expected to be back open to traffic around 7:30 a.m., according to Greenbrier County Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not taken to the hospital.
