UPDATE: Police locate suspect in Cool Ridge fight


UPDATE (01/18/16 4:20 a.m.):  Andrew Fortner was captured by troopers late Sunday, Jan. 17, according to State Police. Fortner was wanted for wanton endangerment, battery and conspiracy stemming from a fight on Jan. 10th in Cool Ridge.

Fortner was arrested with incident and taken to the Southern Regional Jail, State Police said.

Troopers with the Beckley Detachment of the West Virginia State Police are asking for help from the community to find a man on the run.  They are looking for Andrew Fortner.  He is wanted on charges of Wanton Endangerment.  Fortner was apparently involved in a fight that happened in the Cool Ridge area on Jan. 10, 2016.

Fortner is known to stay at several locations in Raleigh County.  Those include Cool Ridge, Shady Spring and Beckley.  State Troopers said he is known to be armed and should not be approached.  Anyone with information as to his whereabouts should contact Trooper K.A. Filer with the Beckley Detachment at 304-256-6700
