The 4-H camp in Wyoming County played host to the inaugural Warriors Retreat.
The event was aimed at bringing together those who have served and fought for our freedom.
During the special event veterans got a chance to fellowship, enjoy some great food and share war stories with each other.
Organizers say the focus was to provide therapy through conversation and camaraderie.
“More specifically combat veterans after they get discharge from the marine core or the military they just draw the camaraderie they need the camaraderie and its just very beneficial I mean to talk and get stuff off your chest with another combat veterans,” Sgt. Joel Perry said.
Perry served as one of the organizers of the event is also the co-founder of the Legion of American Veterans, an advocacy group that helps veterans and their families all across the U.S.
