Aside from the food and rides, there are countless contests, auctions, and corporate booths at and you can find all of that under one roof.
The West Virginia Building is at the right in the middle of the fair, where 20,000 square feet of open space allows the fair attendees to see the many pieces of art and try some of the finest foods the state has to offer. For State Fair of West Virginia CEO Emily Collins and her administration, the building has sure been a key part of the event’s success.
“This is really an important building to the State Fair of West Virginia because it is a showcase of the state,” she said. “It’s the quilts, the best pie in the state, as well as all the state agencies that are set up in this building. And that’s what we strive to do here.”
The West Virginia Building is not limited to just the week-long event. It is open year round, in which countless sporting events, receptions, rallies, and fundraisers have been held there.
