Greenbrier Co., WV – West Virginia Division of Highways announces that there will be traffic delays on several routes in Greenbrier County due to Dominion Power transporting a large transformer according to Adrian Lusk, District Nine Bridge Engineer.
Motorists will experience delays on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, and Wednesday, October 7, 2015 on Virginia Route 602 East, WV 311 North, I-64 East, between exits 183 and 181, US 60 West, WV 92 North, US 39 East and Virginia Route 600 North.
The transport will begin movement on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. from Virginia and will travel up Route 92 to Neola, West Virginia. On Wednesday, October 7, 2015, movement of the transformer will resume on WV 92 North, US 39 East and Route 600 North, to arrive at the Bath County Pump Station by early afternoon. Dominion Power will transport two additional transformers over the next two weeks; therefore, motorists should expect traffic delays.
Motorists are asked to observe all traffic control signs and devices, and to allow additional time for their commute.Dominion Power and First Energy express their apologies for the inconvenience this causes the citizens and guests to the area.
