WVDOT aims to prevent slides on Greenbrier County road

Crews began work on Monday, July 13, 2015 to stabilize a hillside next to a road in Greenbrier County.  Hartsook Road, also known as County Route 9/8, was closed at 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

The project is located approximately one quarter of a mile west of the junction with Shoestring Trail.  That is just south of Crawley, WV. Hartsook Road will be closed to through traffic between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday for about two weeks.

Engineers with the West Virginia Division of Highways expect the work to be done before Friday, July 24, 2015.  Officials said that local traffic will have access to all properties along Hartsook Road by using Cornstalk Road.
