Izzy Post joins us from snowy New England! She’s no stranger to the mountains, though. After graduating high school in Connecticut, Izzy attended Virginia Tech where she graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Sports Communications. From there, she wrote for various websites and moved back to the northeast to work for Western Mass News in Springfield, Ma before joining 59News in September of 2021.
Izzy’s sports and news reporting career has taken her all over the east coast. She has reported on events such as the ACC College Football Championship, the Sweet Sixteen, Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement, The Travelers Championship Pro-AM, the Holyoke Soldiers Home Outbreak, and more.
When she’s not working, Izzy enjoys running and hiking with her dog, photographing nature, looking at the stars through her telescope, all things Disney, and of course, cheering on her Hokies and Patriots!
