Liam Healy joins the StormTracker 59 and the 59News team from Thornwood, New York. Liam graduated in May of 2020 with his Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from SUNY Oswego.
During his time at SUNY Oswego, Liam honed his skills as a part of WTOP-10 the on-campus television station as part of Storm Team 10. While he will miss the lake effect snows along Lake Ontario, he’s excited to see what challenges the Appalachian Mountains bring to his forecast.
Liam loves to hike, and bike so you might also catch him on the trails or up in the mountains with his head in the clouds. When it comes to food as a native New Yorker he is always on the hunt for the best slice of pizza he can find, and he hopes to find one down here in West Virginia that can beat an NYC slice.
You can catch Liam’s forecast Monday through Friday on WVNS 59News at 5 a.m., 6 a.m., and 12 p.m. alongside Logan Ross. If you have a great shot of the weather, sunset, or sunrise, Liam would love to see it! Send them to firstname.lastname@example.org, and you just might see it on the news.
