WELCH, WV (WVNS) — A fourth case of COVID-19 is reported in McDowell County, West Virignia. The announcement was made by the local health department.
The results came back on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Health officers said this case has no known connection with the other three cases in the county.
The person diagnosed with the illness is currently quarantined at home. The Health Department is working to identify those who came in contact with the person. They will be notified by the Health Department personnel.
Due to Federal HIPAA guidelines, no other information about this case will be given. As always, they recommend everyone comply with the West Virginia Stay-At-Home order and follow all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
