Always wondered what yoga would be like? Well now you can try it out for free.
New River Yoga in downtown Fayetteville is having a community yoga class every Friday from 6 to 7 p.m.
This is the studio’s way to get people active and interested in the benefits yoga provides. Owner, Lila Marie Thomas, said this is a great way to relax while working out your body.
“At New River Yoga we try to let people know that yoga is for everyone. No matter what level you are, whether you can touch your toes, we have classes geared for complete beginners to advanced yogis alike. So, just really the benefits of yoga are feeling more relaxed, helping with stress, and helping feel more capable to deal with life stresses,” Thomas said.
Yoga instructors like, Erin Larsen, said there is this stigma that people who do yoga are flexible, and that is not always the case.
“I have clients from 10-years-old, to 91-years-old,” Larsen said.
The class is completely free, but donations are always accepted. Find a full list of classes they have everyday of the week on their website.
