Fayette County welcomes new circuit judge

On Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, newly appointed Circuit Court Judge, Thomas Ewing was sworn in. The event happened at the Fayette County Courthouse. 

Many people from the community came to see Ewing get sworn in. There were also many members from the judicial branch there to speak. Of the members was Chief Justice Beth Walker, who said she was glad to see so many people show up.

Ewing also said he was glad people came out to see him get sworn in so he can get to work.

“Every day is something new and it’s stressful at times, because I want to do a good job, so I want to spend the time necessary to be prepared. But I’m proud to get the opportunity to do. I’m honored to have the opportunity to do it. I want to be good at work and make sure I do a good job, make the right decisions,” said Ewing.
