Health Officials: Winter weather can reduce spread of COVID-19

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — Health officials said winter weather may come with some benefits.

Dr. Anita Stewart with the Fayette County Health Department said winter conditions can actually reduce the spread of COVID-19. She said people are more likely to stay indoors with their families and out of the harsh, winter conditions. Therefore, they are not out in public, and not spreading the virus.
