Spring showers bring orange flowers, otherwise known as construction cones. Now that Spring is here, we can expect to start seeing more construction on our roads. The Board of Public Works in the City of Beckley will be doing road work starting Monday April 23, 2018 through Friday April 27, 2018.

Director of the Board of Public Works Jerry Stump said 8 streets will be closed during this this. “Get any obstacle, vehicle, basketball goals are stuck out on the street a lot of the times. Anything that might be out on the street to get it off the street during this week, on these 8 streets so we won’t have any trouble,” Stump said.

The roads closed will be:

  • Circle Street
  • Bellevue Lane
  • Reservoir Road
  • South Pike Street (from Beckley Ave. to Central Ave.)
  • Grove Avenue
  • Campbell Street
  • Mankin Avenue (from Porter St. to the Dead End)
  • Smooth Avenue

If you have any questions, call the Board of Public Works Office at (304)256-1740.
