BECKLEY, W. Va. (WVNS) — For the 4th consecutive year, L&S Toyota is giving away thousands of dollars to a charity nominated by the public on social media.
All you have to do is comment on their Facebook page and tell them how the charity has touched your life with stories, pictures, or video.
For the charity to qualify, they must prove they are a 501-C3 charity and they must be located in Raleigh, Wyoming, Nicholas, Summers, Greenbrier, or Fayette counties in WV.
L&S Toyota’s owner, Shawn Ball said it allows the community to learn about their charities and how many great things those organizations accomplish.
“It’s just a different way to try and learn about new charities and some of the charities are smaller that you’ve never heard of that are still doing a lot of good work,” said Ball.
In years past, they’ve donated $40,000 to local charities, but this year, they’re giving away $50,000.
There is no deadline to this challenge, but once the activity on social media starts to slow down, L&S Toyota will then tally up all the different charities that were nominated to choose their winner.
