Raleigh County

GHENT, W. Va. (WVNS) — The Mega Millions jackpot  has climbed to an estimated $502 million after no winning numbers were drawn, Tuesday, March 27th, 2018.

The estimated jackpot is the fourth largest payout in the 16 year history of Mega Millions multi-state lottery game.

The jackpot has been rolling over since it was last won on January 5th at $451 million.

People here in West Virginia have big plans if they win the extra cash.

Mega Millions player Mark Cooper said he’s hoping to win some extra green.

“What would I do with the money if I won it? Probably just buy a piece of property in the middle of nowhere and disappear,” said Cooper.

Timothy Smith said if he hits the jackpot, he will help his family.

“I would improve myself and my families financial situation,” said Smith.

You have until  9:59PM Friday, March 30th, 2018, to purchase your Mega Millions ticket before the next ticket.
