The Raleigh County Community Action Association partnered with Padrino’s restaurant in Beaver to raise money for the Pine Haven Homeless Shelter.

RCCAA Executive Director Ron Cantley told 59 News that Padrino’s will donate 10 percent of Monday’s orders to the shelter. The fundraiser also featured live music from local musician George Whitaker.

“Pine Haven Shelter is a component of RCCA that’s not well known and not well funded,” Cantley said. “A lot of our other work is reasonably well funded and supports itself, but Pine Haven Shelter depends on the community, and this is an example of the community being really great and supportive to us.”
