RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va. (WVNS) — The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office will be increasing patrols out on the roadways this Memorial Day weekend.
Deputies said they are cracking down on drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Officers will also be looking for drivers on the road without a license, not using seat belts, and/or using a cell phone while driving.
Deputies said the increased patrols is paid for by a grant from the Governor’s Highway Safety Program, WV Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention and Southern Regional Highway Safety Program.
