Theatre West Virginia is in the final stretch before the opening night of Annie. While the cast is remembering their lines, the stage crew is busy building a mini New York City in the Grandview Amphitheatre.
Production manager Dakota Adams told 59 News that he and his crew are putting together a turn-table like set so they can flip from one scene to another quickly. Due to a lot of rain in the past few weeks, Adams added they built many individual pieces indoors, and they will piece them together like Legos on opening night.
“This is going to be the turning point year for us, and this is gonna be the biggest set that has been out here in at least the last five years, so we want it to be rocking,” Adams added. “We want people to come .. And If nothing else see this giant turn table of a set that 8 people are turning.”
The curtains to Annie will open this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
