Troopers with the West Virginia State Police will be setting up a sobriety checkpoint ahead of the Easter holiday weekend.  On Friday, March 30, 2018 they will be conducting checks on Route 19 near Airport Road in Beaver.

Troopers will be set up from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.   The goal is not just to deter people from getting behind the wheel when they are drunk. They are also educating drivers about the dangers and consequences of operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  Any one who suspects they see a drunk driver is urged to report it.
