Monday, January 28 will the first day of the 2019 tax season. While many file taxes every year, this could be the first time for others. Tony Martin, an accountant at TR Tax in Beckley, said it could be a little scary for the first time, but accountants are there to help.
“There are a lot of changes this year, so things are totally new for everybody,” Martin said. “If you venture to do your taxes online if you get to a point to where you feel uncomfortable or unsure, I would advise you at least seek out a paid professional to help you out.”
Martin said the key is to be organized and make sure you have everything you need before filing your taxes.
