With graduations and summer right around the corner, travel is increasing this time of year.
Travel safety is important to ensure that you, your loved ones, and your belongings all make it from point A to point B safely.
Staying together or in groups with your travel members can prevent you from getting lost or making yourself an easy target at an airport or train station.
Raleigh County Memorial Airport Manager, Tom Cochran, has a few tips for those looking to catch a flight this summer.
“Give yourself enough time to get to the airport that you’re not rushed and trying to get through security before it closes its gates.” Cochran said. “Be able to secure the luggage in a way that you’re in charge of your luggage at all times.”
In addition to those tips, Cochran also reminded future passengers to familiarize themselves with oxygen masks, as well as safety exits inside the airplane and airport in the case of an emergency.
