Voters decide their candidates for House of Delegates 28th District

BECKLEY, W. Va. (WVNS)– The Republican and Democratic nominations are decided for the House of Delegates 28th District. 

On the Republican side, Jeffrey Pack and Roy Cooper defeated Ron Cantley, earning 36 and 35 percent of the vote respectively. 

On the Democratic side, Andrew Evans and Sandy Shaw won the democratic nomination for November.

Jeffery Pack told 59 News after the results he is going to take a little break before focusing on the November election.

“The thing I would like for everyone to know is the thing that I’ve been telling everybody that I’m going to continue to work to create jobs. I’m going to continue to work to reform entitlement programs. I’m going to continue to work reform the adoption process. I’m going to do all these things and we’ve got a lot of time to talk about that between now and November,” Pack said. 

Pack also said that he wanted to thank everyone for all the support whether it was by voting or making phone calls for him. 

Pack, Cooper, Evans and Shaw will all be on the ballot for the House of Delegates 28th District in November.
