A nurse in Raleigh County is looking for answers after her late father’s property is trashed and robbed. Andrea Riley lives in Beckley, but grew up on her father’s 29 acre property on Central Ave in Lester.

After he died of cancer in March, the property was left vacant for a few months, but Andrea returned to see that someone had been there to rob and make a mess of it.

The 29 acres now sit demolished. Tires were stolen off her dad’s truck,  a horse trailer was taken, thousands of dollars in aluminum was stripped from their old barn, and three abandoned puppies were found in an open shed. All Riley wants is an explanation.

“I want know why, what did my dad do to you to make you come and steal everything he’s worked for?” Riley pleaded. “He worked for the town of Lester for 25 years and put every dollar into this place. So what did he do to make you steal everything?”

Riley is working with State Police to find out who did this. It is currently an open investigation and we will keep you updated on details as we learn them.
