Those looking to take on the weekend with wine tastings, did not have a hard find in Raleigh County.
On June 16, 2018, Daniel Vineyards hosted the 20th annual West Virginia Spring Wine Festival.
Those sampling were treated to tastings from 6 winery vendors with a commemorative glass.
With this festival hanging around for two decades, manager Chad Fox says a whole lot has contributed to the growth and popularity of this tradition.
“It’s just kind of slowly added year by year,” Fox said. “They know to expect this festival each year. The following’s gotten a lot bigger. The quality of the wines from West Virginia wineries has gotten better.”
More than 1,000 people took advantage of the samplings, which was more than anticipated.
